1) The first mountain comprises of steep steps, Vellai Pillayar Kovil marks the end of first mountain. 2) The second mountain is covered with bamboos, it is less steep compared to 1st mountain and ends with "Valukku Parrai". 3) Third mountain starts with "Kai thati sunai" at the middle of the mountain you will be able to see " Pambaati Sitthar Cave", before the end of 3rd mountain you will see Pambaati Sunai which will be the last water source. 4) If you start to walk flat at surface of the mountain then you have arrived at the beginning of 4th mountain. From here you can get a glimpse of Isha yoga Adi Yogi Statue 5) Once you see big boulders(big rocks), you have arrived at 5th mountain. 5th and 6th hill has white sand hence they are also called as thiruneeru malai. 6) If the mountains starts to desend steeply, it is the start of 6th mountain and it ends with Aandi Sunai where people take bath before worship. 7) This is the final destination, where Lord shiva resides. It is steep even compared to the 1st mountain. It is also called as Swami mudi malai or Giri Malai.
